Lewis was named the Sophomore of the Year by several media outlets. He ran for 1,866 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore. As a junior, he ran for 2,472 yds and added another 40 TDs.

Scouting Report: Very low to the ground, Lewis is a shifty running back. Some of the best hips around allows Lewis to move anywhere he wants, stop on a dime, and reverse field easily. Great field vision. Very reminiscent of Barry Sanders with lower body strength, size, and footwork.
"I think I have great vision and find the holes good. I have a little bit of everything. I have great speed and power. I'm really strong. I still want to improve my technique and I want to get even faster and move better."
