| The redshirt junior is the heir apparent to Chris Simms quarterbacking spot
although Mock saw limited action in 2002 (six games, 5-of-7 passing for 44 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions), head coach Mack Brown said his three years in the UT system gives him a decided edge over other QBs
"Chance has got two more years, and hes been here so long," Brown said. "I think Chance is ready to play"
longest career completion was 21 yards against Kansas, his only attempt of 2001
