| Coffman is a great all-around tight end who has the complete package. He's a tremendous pass catching tight end who has excellent instincts. He gets a fluid release off the line of scrimmage, runs solid routes, and finds an opening over the middle to give the quarterback a reliable target. - Chris Steuber, Scout.com |

2008: Pre-Season 1st-Team All-American (Playboy)
One of the nation's top tight ends who gives Mizzou a huge mismatch in the passing game. He will likely appear on the short list of candidates favored to win All-American acclaim in 2008, as well as the John Mackey Tight End Award.
Coffman was selected to the prestigious Playboy Magazine All-America team, and took part in the annual team photo shoot in Phoenix in May, along with teammate Jeremy Maclin.
He is the Mizzou record-holder for most career touchdowns at any position (20 career receiving).
He is just the 3rd TE in MU history to catch 100 passes. In just 3 seasons, already ranks 2nd on the MU tight end career receptions list (157 catches), and is 2nd on the MU tight end career yardage list (1,672 yards), and needs just 47 catches and 504 yards to break the records held by Martin Rucker.
With 338 yards receiving in 2008, he will become just the fifth Tiger in history to reach 2,000 career receiving yards.
Begins the 2008 season ranked 1st on the MU career list in touchdown catches, 3rd in receptions and 7th in receiving yardage.
Coffman had surgery after the Cotton Bowl to clean up bone spurs in his right ankle that limited him late last season, and was limited in what he did initially during spring camp, but was cleared for full contact eventually, and caught four passes for 34 yards in the spring game.
Coffman submitted his name to the NFL Draft Advisory panel in the off-season, and despite getting very favorable feedback toward his potential in the 2008 Draft, he chose to come back to Mizzou for his senior season.
