Tray Allen Cross Training at DT since Friday

Tray Allen Cross Training at DT since Friday

Sources have confirmed that back-up left guard Tray Allen did in fact work out in today's practice, but in actuality his cross-training began last Friday, the day after the two open practices. This move is considered a trial move in an effort to get the best players on the field and provide depth at that position.

South Grand Prairie's Tray Allen, a five-star offensive tackle prospect from the 2007 class, has been given the chance to try out the defensive tackle position in camp. The 6-5, 315-pounder has been running second team left guard and third team left tackle.

The cross-training began last Friday, the day after the two open practices.

The move is considered a trial and not a permanent move at this point. Sources also say that speculation about possible grade issues with current defensive tackles Lamarr Houston and Ben Alexander are inaccurate.
