Texas Takes Care of Tech 87-81

The #24 Texas Longhorns overcame a sluggish start and survived a late first half run against the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Wednesday before earning a hard fought victory at the free throw line 87-81. Damion James scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead the Longhorns on the night when Kevin Durant's #35 was retired in an emotional ceremony.

The #24 Texas Longhorns took the court on Wednesday night coming off of their biggest win of the season Saturday against Oklahoma, but without services of Gary Johnson and it showed with a sluggish start.
