Sheldon McClendon visits Texas

The Texas Longhorns already have one commitment in the 2011 class in St. Benedict Prep point guard Myck Kabongo and have targeted Bellaire guard Sheldon McClendon as well. The 6-5, 180 pound sophomore has been offered by Texas and took an unofficial visit last weekend for the contest against Texas A&M.

The Texas Longhorns have made getting bigger in the backcourt a focus of the 2009, 2010 and now 2011 classes. On January 12, the Longhorns received their first commitment of the 2011 class in 6-2 point guard Myck Kabongo. Now it appears Texas has targeted Bellaire sophomore guard Sheldon McClendon.
