Sources have confirmed that Round Rock Stony Point standout defensive end Tevin Mims has committed to the Texas Longhorns during his official visit over the weekend. Mims is the 20th commitment to Coach Brown and the Longhorns for the 2009 recruiting class.

They’re very hard on me about that," said Orakpo, who won the 2008 Nagurski Award as the nation’s top defensive player. "They didn’t want me playing sports if I was making C’s and D’s. That’s why I didn’t play pee-waee. I didn’t get into football until eighth grade, because I could show my parents I could do good in academics and sports as well."

The #11 Texas Longhorns rolled into Lubbock on Saturday in bad need of a confidence building win. With their backs against the wall in an early must win game to stay in the Big 12 race, Texas responded playing one of their best all-around games on the seasons beating the Red Raiders behind the play of Damion James and Gary Johnson.
