Texas (22-12, 7-7 Big 12) fell behind 2-0 in the third inning and were unable to grapple the lead from Missouri, allowing five runs in the fourth, two in the fifth, one in the sixth and seven in the seventh.
The Longhorns scored their runs in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Russell Moldenhauer and the ninth inning on an RBI single by Travis Tucker.
Tucker went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Michael Torres went 2-for-5, extending his team-long hit streak to 21 games. He is now tied with MacGregor Byers (1995) for second place on the Horns' career list. The duo trails only Rick Bradley who had a 24-game hit streak in 1974.
Andrew Thigpen paced Missouri (25-8, 7-4 Big 12) going 4-for-5 with two runs. Kurt Calvert went 3-for-5 with one double, two runs and two RBI. Ryan Lollis went 2-for-3 with one double and three runs scored. Aaron Senne and Jacob Priday each added a pair of hits.
Brandon Workman (4-2) was saddled with the loss for Texas. He allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over three innings.
Kyle Gibson (6-0) earned the win for Missouri. He yielded just one run on five hits and two walks while striking out nine over seven innings.
Texas and Missouri wrap up the three-game series Sunday afternoon with first pitch at Taylor Stadium slated for 1 p.m.
