The city of Austin issued an arrest warrant Thursday for freshman defensive tackle Andre Jones. The crime is in connection with the aggravated robbery that former Longhorn safety Robert Joseph was arrested for last weekend. Details inside...

"THE STATE OF TEXAS TO ANY POLICE OFFICER OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, GREETINGS:
YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED TO ARREST:

Jones, Andre B/M 08-03-89

If to be found in your county and bring him before me, a Judge, at the Austin Municipal Court, Travis County, Texas, at my office in Austin, in the said county, Instanter, then and there to answer the State of Texas for an offense against the laws of said state, to-wit:

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY WITH A DEADLY WEAPON
1st Degree Felony
"

That's how the arrest warrant for Texas defensive tackle Andre Jones reads. Jones was now classified as a "fugitive" after failing to appear before the court, according to the City of Austin.

The warrant accuses Jones of breaking into an East Austin apartment with former Texas safety Robert Joseph. The affidavit states that Joseph pointed a gun at the apartment's occupants (including a 14-year-old) and demanded electronics, including cell phones and gaming systems.

The warrant stated that Jones then repeated Joseph's demand, said he had a gun and indicated a chrome object in his waistband.

Two of the robbery victims identified Jones from a lineup of photos.

The official charge on the warrant is aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and specifies the usage of a gun. Bond has been set at $40,000.00.

Joseph was taken into custody last weekend and had already left the Texas football team because of a previous burglary.

A source inside the Texas football program told Inside Texas the team is well aware of the situation and will take appropriate steps soon.

Friday is Jones' 18th birthday.
