Michael Huey: I'd say I did pretty well. I think I'm doing better each day in practice. This experience is making me a better football player. I think I'll be prepared for the game.
IT: You said you are improving everyday. In which areas are you improving?
Huey: Just all-around in pass blocking and run blocking. It just seems like it's getting a little easier.
IT: Who did you face the most in today's scrimmage?
Huey: Andre Jones.
IT: That seems to be emerging trend. Yesterday, he said he won the matchup. Who won it today?
Huey: He got me one time. I got him once. He was one up on me.
IT: How difficult is it to block Andre Jones?
Huey: He's an All-American. He's not an All-American for a bad reason. He's big, quick, strong. He's pretty tough to block.
IT: Andre has had good things to say about you so you seem to be holding your own.
Huey: I could say just as many back. He's a real great football player. I just can't wait to play with him at Texas and win some games there.
IT: How has Tray Allen played in practice?
Huey: He's looked real good. He's getting better everyday.
IT: What are your strengths as a football player?
Huey: Pass blocking.
IT: In what areas do you need improvement?
Huey: Just getting quicker steps into the ground, but I feel like I can accomplish that.
IT: What are your expectations for your freshman year at Texas?
Huey: I really don't have any expectations. I'm just going to do my best. If I get to play, that's fine. If I redshirt, that's fine. It all just depends on how well I do.
IT: Do you think you can play as a freshman?
Huey: If I get in early and work hard like I do, I hopefully I can get a spot. If I don't, then I don't. I'll redshirt.
IT: What do you plan to major in at Texas?
Huey: I hope to major in architecture, but that would mess up my schedule and everything would be out-of-whack. I'm undecided right now.
IT: What do you want to do someday beyond football?
Huey: I've been contemplating sports medicine, but I'm really not for sure.
IT: Of the six Texas commitments, which player has impressed you the most this week?
Huey: I guess Andre, because we've been doing a lot of one-on-one.
Huey: No, I haven't really talked to them about that. It's their decision. If they want family, fun and championships, they should go to Texas. If they don't, oh well. We'll find people. That's how Texas is.
IT: You really seem to be enjoying this week aren't you?
Huey: This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience this game, especially going to Texas is another once-in-a-lifetime thing. I feel really glad and very honored. This is something very exciting that I can always keep forever.
