Collins got to hang out with just about all of the current Longhorn players and the current commits.
"The best part was just getting to hang out with the rest of the players and getting to meet everybody," Collins said.
Defensive end Eddie Jones was Collins’ host throughout the day. Jones made a good impression on Collins.
"He was real nice. He is a great kid," Collins said.
Collins also spent a lot of time with the coaching staff at Texas. They encouraged him to keep up the good work.
"I got to talk to all of them basically," Collins said. "They told me to keep working hard and that they can’t wait until I get down there in June."
Collins talked about the banquet that was held Friday night for the Longhorn players and coaches.
"It was fun. James Street gave a speech and talked about the team. Then, some of the players got awards," Collins said.
Collins finished his senior season at Brenham with 1,049 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns. It is still up in the air as to what position he will play for the Longhorns.
"They are probably leaning towards DB right now, but I really don’t know," Collins said.
One thing is for sure; Collins had a good time this weekend and is excited about becoming a Texas Longhorn in the near future.
"Everything was great. I liked everything they had to offer," Collins said.
