Texas Commit Nader Collapses, Hospitalized

Posted Sep 16, 2006

Texas commit Matt Nader was alert and responsive and listed in stable condition Friday night at College Station Medical Center after collapsing on the sideline during Westlake's game with A&M Consolidated.

According to the Bryan-College Station Eagle, Nader's mother Barbara Bergin administered CPR before paramedics used a defibrillator to revive Nader, a 6-6, 295-pound offensive lineman for the Chaparrals.

"It was a scary moment," Bergin told the Eagle. "Unbelievably scary. We have no idea what caused it."
