Future Longhorn Ready for Senior Season

The Texas Longhorns picked up a huge verbal commitment from offensive line standout Garrett Thomas back in early July. Thomas is part of a stellar offensive line class including Toby Weathersby, Ronnie Major and Patrick Vahe.

Garrett Thomas is a three-star offensive tackle who decided to commit to the University of Texas and head coach Charlie Strong. He is ready for his senior season to get underway.

"Our team is looking good this year," Thomas said. "We went to the dome last year and there is no reason we shouldn't be back and better than last year. We are returning a ton of players. I'm extremely excited for my senior year and can't wait for it. I want to be the best player that I can be and be; what my team needs and to do everything I can to prepare myself for Texas in the spring."

Thomas has very lofty goals he feels his team can attain.

"Our goal as a team is to win the state championship, no doubt about it," Thomas said. "This season I will not only be representing Many high schools but also the University of Texas. It will be a little different, but I think it will be good for me and push me to be better in everything from the classroom to the field and everything in between."
