Cameron Townsend With Three?

OLB Cameron Townsend

One of the top uncommitted players in the state of Texas is outside linebacker Cameron Townsend. The No 14 ranked backer checks in from Missouri City (TX) Ridge Point High School. He is 6-foot-1, 200-pounds and has the most interest from Texas, Oklahoma and Oregon State.

Cameron Townsend understands that the schools that are the most serious about landing his services have extended him an offer.

”Well it’s nice to be wanted,” Townsend said. “By now all the schools that are serious have offered me already, so recruiting isn’t as busy as it was when I first started. I think schools like my game because I am athletic, can run and see the game like it’s a little slower.”

Where does Texas stand for the speedy backer?

”That whole coaching staff is cool,” Townsend said. “I have great relationships with just about all of them. My area recruiter is Coach Rob (Tommie Robinson) but I speak to coach BJ (Brian Jean-Mary) more often. Right now the schools showing the most love are Texas, Oklahoma and Oregon State.”

Townsend does have a timetable for his decision.

”I'm going to commit in October after I take my officials,” Townsend said.
