Longhorns Announce Spring FB Dates

Texas football sets time and date for Orange-White Game.

Texas football is tentatively scheduled to start spring practice on March 18 this year, giving the Longhorns more time in the weight room, and the staff more time to connect with the 2015 class before starting preparations for the 2014 season.

Texas will hold its annual Orange-White Game at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The game will air on the Longhorn Network.

The Longhorns were 8-5 and 7-2 in 2013, the last season of Mack Brown's tenure in Austin. Among the reasons for optimism in new head coach Charlie Strong's first year is what should be a strong front seven on defense and the return of starting quarterback David Ash, who missed most of 2013 with head injuries.
