When the NBA season starts up tonight, Texas will be tied for the fifth-most players in the league with 11 former Longhorns on NBA rosters.

Texas is one of seven NCAA programs with more than 10 players on league rosters, tied for fifth with Connecticut and UCLA. Kentucky (19) has the most, followed by Duke and North Carolina with 17 apiece. League-foe Kansas has the fourth-most with 14.

The Longhorns’ 11 players are Lamarcus Aldridge (Trailblazers), D.J. Augustin (Pacers), Avery Bradley (Celtics), Kevin Durant (Thunder), Daniel Gibson (Cavaliers), Jordan Hamilton (Nuggets), Royal Ivey (76ers), Cory Joseph (Spurs), Dexter Pittman (Heat), Tristan Thompson (Cavaliers) and P.J. Tucker (Suns).

Four of the Longhorns' 11 are under 22-years-old: Joseph, Bradley, Hamilton and Thompson.

The NBA season tips off Tuesday night with Washington at Cleveland, Boston at Miami and Dallas at the Los Angeles Lakers.
