Top In-State Safety Picks Texas

Texas has been searching far and wide for an elite safety in the 2014 class.

And on Sunday, the Longhorns landed one from right down the road. Shortly after a big-time camp performance, Cibolo Steele safety Erik Huhn committed to the Longhorns, then announced his commitment on Twitter, saying, simply "Committed to UT." then confirmed the tweet.

Huhn was a high school teammate of Malcolm Brown's at Steele.

Texas had long been pursuing Huhn, who attended the second Texas Junior Day, but hadn't offered until this weekend. That changed, and shortly after, so did Huhn's commitment status. But his decision might have been best summed up in another tweet:

"Dream Came True."
