6) Travis Lewis, senior LB, Oklahoma
Typically, when players aren't able to meet up with a previous year's production, they're thought of as resting on their laurels, or leveling off.
But in the case of Lewis, it's been impossible to live up to the promise of his redshirt freshman season just because it was such a great year that it would have been difficult to top. In his first year on the field in Norman, Lewis had a whopping 144 tackles, including 11.5 for loss, 3.5 sacks and four interceptions. All of those numbers are still career highs.
But that's not to say that Lewis hasn't been busy since then. He had 109 tackles both as a sophomore and as a junior. He made a combined 15 tackles for loss over those years, and picked off three passes as a junior. As a freshman and sophomore, he earned first-team All-Big 12 honors, then made second team as a junior.
A former high school running back, Lewis isn't the biggest linebacker in the league, weighing less than 230 pounds. But he might be one of the fastest, clocking 40-yard dashes in the sub-4.4 second range.
2010 Stats: 109 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, five passes broken up
