20) Lane Taylor, junior OL, Oklahoma State
Taylor's profile suggests that he likes working on cars in his spare time. It's appropriate, then, that the offensive guard helps keep the motor of the explosive Cowboy offense humming.
Martin had college size out of Arlington Martin High School, weighing 300 pounds when he reported to Stillwater. And it didn't take him long to make his mark for the Cowboys. He won the starting job against %%MATCH_37%% as a redshirt freshman and hasn't given it back since. Now weighing close to 330 pounds, Taylor is a big part of the reason the Cowboys have been able to run the ball so effectively from their spread.
Martin started all 13 games as a sophomore, winning offensive lineman of the week honors against %%MATCH_38%% and Texas Tech, and helping Oklahoma State rank among the nation's best in fewest sacks allowed, total offense and scoring offense.
Now Martin, a first-team academic All-Big 12 honoree, is tied with safety Markelle Martin for the most consecutive starts on the team. What's even scarier is that he has two more seasons to improve on that number. And that's two years longer that the Cowboys will be able to count on strong play from his guard spot.
