24) T.J. Moe, junior WR, Missouri
Few players deserved to have the "athlete" tag next to their name in their recruiting profile like Moe.
Moe was the Missouri ESPN Rise Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior when he threw for 2,557 yards and 31 touchdowns and rushed for another 2,029 yards and 30 touchdowns playing quarterback. As a junior, he was first-team All-State as a quarterback and as an all-purpose back, and he was all-district as a wide receiver as a sophomore. Still others thought he would be a defensive back in college.
But Missouri found it too difficult to keep the ball out of his hands. After surgery to repair a broken foot, Moe played sparingly as a true freshman, catching two passes for eight yards.
He broke out in a big way as a sophomore, catching 13 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown in his first career start in the season opener against Illinois. He caught a last-minute 68-yard touchdown pass to beat San Diego State, which led by four points prior to the big play. And he closed the year with 15 catches for 152 yards in the Insight Bowl against %%MATCH_34%%. Overall, he snagged 92 passes for 1,045 yards and six touchdowns, having just two games where he caught less than five passes.
Now, Moe enters his junior year as a preseason candidate for the Biletnikoff Award and serves as one of the Big 12's best slot receivers, a player with the quickness and change of direction skills to get open against any coverage.
