The days of waiting for recruits to fall through the cracks to TCU
are long gone. It's March, but today the Frogs picked up their 8th commitment. This time from Henderickson (TX) athlete Daje Johnson.
"I basically chose TCU not only because there tremendous at football, but because of the schools network and what they have to offer academically," said Johnson to Scout.com. "Fort Worth is also a great location for my dad to watch my games and since there moving to the Big East, my mom will be able to watch me as well."
Johnson is 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds. Scout.com Midlands Recruiting Analyst Ahmard Vital has this breakdown of the 2012 recruit:
"Biggest attribute Johnson brings to the table is speed. It only takes two plays in to realize that. He hits the hole quickly almost as if he catches the defense off guard. Not really able to see how he breaks tackles because defenders rarely get a hand on him. He makes one cut and gets north and south in a hurry. Defensively, he makes some nice plays on the ball as well."
Between the football program, the academics, and their move to the Big East, Pflugerville Hendrickson athlete Daje Johnson didn't feel there was any other program for him. On Thursday night, he gave his verbal to TCU.
